We would like to thank community members who regularly pick up litter from their villages. It is extremely inconsiderate of people to leave their rubbish for others to look at and sometimes deal with and poses a health hazard to us all.
No-one pad or unpaid should have to deal with other people’s waste products (and I am referring to bodily waste matter). However, there is a page on Cornwall Council’s website to report fly-tipping: https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/rubbish-recycling-and-waste/street-cleaning/fly-tipping/
If you witness fly-tipping please take notice of how many people are involved and what they look like; what has been tipped – how much and what it looks like and details of any vehicles involved including make, colour and registration number if possible.
Fly-tipping is a criminal offence and people are prosecuted for it.
Please don’t let someone else clear up rubbish that you see other people leaving. You don’t need to confront them directly, just make a note and report it online.
Thank you to all those good people who do clean up and help keep their communities tidy.
