Cormac on behalf of Cornwall Council is inviting comments on a proposal to implement pedestrian facilities improvements and traffic calming measures, including a new build out on Sand Hill and renewing the virtual footway. Furthermore, a new footway will link the virtual footway to Fore Street, enhancing pedestrian safety and allowing for a bus stop shelter.
The proposal intends to enable safer pedestrian access, crossing points for the public and slower vehicles.
This is one strategy that has been suggested to help improve air quality in Gunnislake and encourage more public transport use.
